Hello!

So, the site's been pretty slow, but I've actually been getting some writing done. I'm still working on finishing "The Squire," a novel I began about five years ago. I've done my read through and now I'm finishing the last three chapters.

I'll try to keep posting flash fictions here as I write them, and the Story Project will keep coming out (as long as I don't forget to post.) Hopefully in a few months I'll have some big announcements to make here.

I leave for a week's vacation tomorrow, but I remembered to finally post a flash fiction I'd written a few weeks ago. I decided to let it out today instead of my traditional Saturday. The editing's a little rushed. Hopefully I caught most of my errors.

Hello, readers!

I haven't been on the site much recently (some poor comment sat 5 days waiting for moderation. Sorry!) because I've been busily doing some final revisions on another book called "The Squire." I'm almost done with my read through, then I have to write the lat three chapters or so. It probably won't show up here, but hopefully I'll send you to where you can buy it once I publish it. (It may be awhile, though.)

Because of this, I've sometimes published Story Project late. I'll try to remedy that. Sarah's being introduced this week, and she's a blast later on. Trust me.

If you're subscribed to this website, you might be receiving various half-completed updates as I set up the site for The Story Project, the new serial, coming soon. I won't promise a date for certain, but I think new content will go up by next week.

Another quick update:

1.) I'm testing out a new look for the website to go more with the style of the new serial that'll start in a week or two.

2.) I just finished the rough draft of the last bonus story for A Girl Called Snort. It was a slippery, tricky thing to write, so revisions might take a few says. It's a sort of epilogue, though I hadn't meant it to be. The story did all kinds of things I hadn't planned. It should be up early next week.

A few things, in spiffy list format:

1.) My friend Nathan Marchand, whose science fiction book is being published soon, has started a author's website. Check him out at http://www.nathanjsmarchand.com. He the guest author of several flash fictions on this site.

A Girl Called Snort is finished. There will be another related bonus story in the next few weeks, but the main narrative is finished. Sometime in the future I will revise it and see what I can do about getting it published.

The site will be slow for a few weeks, but I have an old multi-author project to post, so all you readers won't go story-less for long.

I hope everyone enjoyed A Girl Called Snort. I'm pretty proud of it. I tried some things I haven't done before (whole sections without the sense of sight), and I think it came together well for being written on the fly.

After my false alarm on Wednesday, I now regret to inform all you lovely readers that there is no Friday installment. I considered finishing it off this morning (Saturday), but I really want to sit on it a bit, to let the events of the next few installments coalesce in my brain.

While I make no promises, because life's been a little crazy lately, it's possible that I'll have extra installments next week to make up for the missing one this week. And if I really get going, perhaps even enough installments to end this thing.

Maybe.
