Interruption

Brief news flash: no new A Girl Called Snort today. I actually had time last night to write it, but I was without my faithful computer. On the upside, I possessed my faithful flash fiction journal, so I'll get one of those up ASAP. Snort should return for its Friday installment.

And, yes, I do need to create a stockpile of Snort installments. Some day.

Thanks!

One Bonus Down, One to Go

Hello, all!

Well, I've finished one of my two bonus stories. This one is the story of Rodion's Knot, as requested by a reader. Here's a quick link. Otherwise, it's in the A Girl Called Snort table of contents.

I've given up trying to set a due date for the second bonus, the one my Facebook fans requested. I decided to tackle that challenge in an unconventional manner, and so it takes substantially longer to write than a normal story. You'll understand once I get time to work on it.

Audio Update

All right--if you haven't heard, I've begun to post an audiobook version of A Girl Called Snort. Currently, the files are being held at nickhayden.podbean.com. (You can also reach them through a link on the main A Girl Called Snort page. It's in bold.) I need to embellish the site some still, but you can listen to the audio, and that's what matters most.

My wife Natasha has volunteered to record the novel, and I should be posting new installments relatively regularly. We're both new at this audio stuff, so there might be problems to address.

Bonus Update

Hello, all!

Well, I'm working on my Facebook Challenge bonus, but it's coming slowly. I wanted to have it done this week, but I doubt it now. (You'll understand why when I finally post it.) Plus, I got this thing called A Girl Called Snort I have to keep writing.

But, after I finish that, I'm going to write my other bonus story, this one about the history of Rodion's Knot, as requested.

It'll all come in good time. Thanks for your patience.

Another Goal Reached!

After seeing the number of subscribed readers (counted by Feedburner) bounce up and down around 20, I've decided to call it. We officially have 20 subscribed readers, which means everyone's earned another bonus besides the one going down on Facebook.

What would you all like? Another bonus story? Extra installments for a week? Something else? Please leave your suggestions, especially if you're new here. I'd love to hear from you.

Guest Authors

I'm going to be trying out several new things over the next few weeks. One of the first is the addition of new Snapshot stories written by guest authors. The first one, "Gravedigger," written by a good writer friend of mine, has just been posted. I hope to have one every Saturday for the next month.

Enjoy!

Facebook Bonus Coming

The Works of Nick Hayden Facebook page has gained an official 50 fans. That means I owe them Facebook peoples a bonus. Head over to give your two cents about what sort of bonus it should be.

Nearing Promo Goals

Hello, my faithful/occasional/new readers!

I have emerged from my hermitage to report on exciting news. Two separate promotional goals are on the verge of being met, and when met, you, my faithful/occasional/new readers, will have a chance to ask and receive new, original stories related to Anilitak and her journey to strange lands.

First, subscribed readers are currently at 19, according to Feedburner. I'm asking for 20. Just one more.... (See the link at the bottom of every page.)

I Need Your Help!

(Or, Readers are a Writer's Best Friend.)

Hello, all! A Girl Called Snort is humming along again, and I think this new plot arc will be quite interesting. However, there's one thing I'd like to do better in 2010.

I'm a horrible promoter--I'm even having trouble putting this blog together--but I'd love to increase the number of readers I have on this site. I think the story is good, and I'd like to think others would enjoy it, too.

Sabbatical Ending

The New Year has come and I'm gearing up to continue the adventures of Anilitak. If everything goes well (fingers crossed), I'll start posting on Monday, January 4. Thank you all for your patience!

Also, I have succumbed and joined Facebook. I have a page for The Works of Nick Hayden. Feel free to join. It's here.

Have a wonderful New Year!
